FindYourNikkah is a space for halal, marriage-focused connections. Follow these guidelines to keep yourself — and your match — safe throughout the journey.
Never share your home address, workplace, bank details, or government ID with matches — even if they seem trustworthy. Scammers often build rapport first, then ask for money or sensitive data. FindYourNikkah will never ask for your password or payment details outside the app.
The verified badge means a user has submitted a valid ID document. Verified users are more likely to be genuine. If someone refuses to video call or always makes excuses to avoid one, treat it as a red flag.
Mark intimate or family photos as private in your profile. Private photos only become visible to specific matches you explicitly approve. Revoke access anytime from the Photo Requests page.
An Islamic marriage involves family. Add your Wali in settings so serious matches can coordinate with your guardian. Meeting a potential spouse for the first time should ideally include or be approved by family.
Be cautious if a match asks for money, cryptocurrency, or gift cards — even for medical emergencies, travel, or visas. Be cautious of profiles that quickly profess love, refuse video calls, claim to be overseas in the military, or push you to leave the app too soon.
In-app messaging is moderated and gives you a trail if something goes wrong. Move to phone or video calls only when you feel comfortable, ideally after a video verification call.
Meet in a public place for the first time. Tell a family member or friend where you are going and who you are meeting. Ideally, have a mahram accompany you. Do not accept rides from someone you have just met, and keep your own transportation.
If a user harasses you, requests inappropriate content, behaves suspiciously, or asks for money — block and report them right away. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, and repeat offenders are banned from the platform.
If you encounter suspicious behavior or have a safety concern, we're here to help.
