Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 17, 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They let a site remember information about your visit — such as your language preference, whether you are logged in, and which features you have used. We also use related technologies like localStorage and service worker caches, which we refer to collectively as "cookies" in this policy.

2. Types of cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies power sign-in, session security, CSRF protection, and remembering your language choice — the site cannot function without them. Functional cookies remember non-essential preferences like dark mode or previously dismissed banners. Analytics cookies help us understand how the platform is used in aggregate (for example, which pages are popular) so we can improve it. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

3. Third-party cookies

When you pay for a Premium subscription, our payment processor may set cookies to prevent fraud and complete the transaction. When you sign in with Google or Apple, those providers may set cookies as part of their authentication flow. We do not control these cookies — please refer to the respective providers' privacy policies for details.

4. How long cookies last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them — we use persistent cookies for "remember me" sign-in (up to 30 days) and saved preferences (up to 12 months). Third-party cookies follow the retention policies of the providers that set them.

5. Your choices

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in the settings. You can also browse in a private or incognito window to limit what is stored. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in. You can also clear FindYourNikkah-specific data from your browser's site settings at any time.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices evolve or as regulations change. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email to registered users. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

7. Contact us

If you have questions about how we use cookies, write to us at privacy@findyournikkah.com or use the in-app support form.
